A broad range of recreational activities are available. Most are no more than a fifteen minute drive from the Chambery with few more than forty-five minutes from the Inn's front door. Hiking is available at Bartholomews Cobble in Ashley Falls; Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in nearby Lenox and Jericho Valley in Williamstown. Sections of the Appalachian Trail wend through the Berkshires and the many state parks provide other excellent hiking opportunities. Llama hikes are availabe through Berkshire Mountain Llama Hikes in Lee. Fishing, boating and swimming are natural Berkshire pastimes at Laurel Lake and Goose Pond in Lee, Stockbridge Bowl in Stockbridge; Center and Yokum Ponds in Becket, and Onota and Pontoosuc Lakes in Pittsfield, to name a few natural area waterways. Sunny Banks Ranch in Becket, Berkshire Horseback Adventures and Undermountain Farm, both in Lenox, provide opportunities for horseback riding. Scenic roadways throughout the area are ideal for cycling enthusiasts.
